Her mother is Beatrice Berg Johnson of Duluth and the late Carl E. Johnson. His parents are Dennis and MaryAnn Robnik of Esko.
The future bride, a 1983 graduate of Duluth East High School, is a receptionist for Salon Capelli in Duluth.
The future groom, a 1984 graduate of the former Cathedral High School in Duluth, owns Up North Yard Care and works for Northstar Aerospace in Duluth.
I have known Don since childhood. His family lived three blocks from mine and our mothers were great friends. Both our families attended Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

My mother has multiple sclerosis and MaryAnn (Don's mother) came over to help us out many times. More importantly, she invited my older sisters and me to dinner when my mother was ill.
After Don's family moved to Esko, our families still remained in contact through the church we attended -- Resurrection Fellowship. But time goes by; I did not see Don for 25 years. We were reunited by some close friends and we knew instantly this is what God had in store for us. What we were looking for wasn't right around the corner, it was three blocks away. But we had to go looking and keep looking to find what we have and need: pure love.
