Melvin and Miriam Jarvi of Cromwell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family when their son returns from his Army National Guard deployment.
Melvin and the former Miriam Tuomi were married May 25, 1957.
Their children are Ronald and Shirley Jarvi of Edina, Minn., and Donna and Bill Pierce of Hudson, Wis. They have seven grandchildren.
Melvin is a retired Teamster. Miriam is a homemaker.
