A proposed 2,500-acre addition to the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area between Virginia and Gilbert will be the focus of a public meeting Feb. 6.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is proposing the expansion and an advisory committee on off-road vehicles will explain the plan and field questions and comments.
The meeting will be at the Mountain Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South, just off Minnesota Highway 169.
Construction is expected to begin later this year. To review draft site designs or to submit written comments, go to the DNR Web site at www.dnr.state.mn.us .
