Senior Matt McKnight will lead the Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team for the second straight year, the first Bulldog to be named captain in consecutive seasons since Curt Giles in1977-78 and 1978-79.
Only five other Bulldogs have been named captain for more than one season: Gord McDonald (1973-74 and1974-75), Owen Rogers(1964-65 and 1965-66), Bill Lenardon (1961-62 and1962-63), Harvey Flaman (1956-57 and 1957-58) and Wall Heikkinen (1949-50, 1951-52 and 1952-53).
Junior left winger Andrew Carroll and defenseman Travis Gawryletz will serve as alternate team captains this season.
