In an effort to support the Bentleyville "Tour of Lights" and encourage volunteerism, Maurices is offering to donate $10 to Bentleyville for every volunteer who assists with setup Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9, with a total amount of up to $1,000.

Volunteers are needed from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Setup will take place at Bayfront Festival Park through Sunday, Nov. 13.

Setup for Bentleyville began last month, with all skill levels welcome to volunteer with tasks like stringing lights, replacing bulbs and hanging decorations.

The challenge set by Maurices is an opportunity for Bentleyville to get more volunteers to help set up for the event.

"Bentleyville is a tremendous asset for downtown Duluth," said Kristi Stokes, Greater Downtown Council president. "This challenge is a creative way for one of our corporate leaders to rally volunteers while also providing its financial support to an event that drives traffic to our community."
