A 26-year-old Duluth man who broke into 6th Judicial District Judge Shaun

Floerke's home early New Year's Day was charged with two misdemeanor crimes Tuesday in St. Louis County District Court.

Daniel Lee Scheer is charged with trespassing and fourth-degree criminal damage to property for causing about $100 damage by breaking in a window.

Floerke grabbed a .45-caliber Glock pistol, confronted and subdued the trespasser until police arrived and took the suspect into custody. Scheer was released from the St. Louis County Jail on Tuesday pending his next court appearance.

Scheer has had 20 criminal cases filed against him, but a dozen are traffic-related and five involved marijuana. He has one misdemeanor burglary conviction.
