A 24-year-old man was transported to a Duluth hospital as a precaution after apparently falling into Tischer Creek on Friday night.
Duluth police reported that officers were called to the vicinity of Woodland Avenue and St. Marie Street, in the Mount Royal area, just before 7 p.m. on a report of a man yelling that he had fallen into the creek.
Officers located the man in wet clothing, and he was transported to a local hospital. The Duluth Fire Department, St. Louis County Rescue Squad and Gold Cross Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Temperatures were in the single digits above zero at the time.
