A man is in stable condition after being shot in the chest late Friday at Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub, St. Paul police said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was shot at about 11:45 p.m. and was taken to Regions Hospital.
On Saturday afternoon, police announced that they had arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the incident. Earlier in the day, a spokesman for the police department said the apparent shooter and the victim were "acquaintances" of one another and that the dispute that led to the shooting had "nothing to do with hockey."
One witness said the man was shot on the patio and crawled back inside. The bar is on West Seventh Street about two blocks from the Xcel Energy Center.
