A man was injured when his passenger car collided with a semi-tanker truck Friday afternoon on the 4700 block of London Road in Duluth.
The car was traveling west around 1:40 p.m. when it hit the eastbound semi-tanker truck, according to a news release from the Duluth Police Department.
The Duluth Fire Department extricated the man from the car and he was transported with injuries to a hospital at 3:22 p.m. The severity of the injuries was unknown, according to the release.
The police department is investigating the cause of the crash. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.
Mayo Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol also responded to the crash.
