A railway collision between a train and a railroad maintenance truck in Aurora, Minn. Thursday resulted in one man being airlifted to a hospital in Duluth.
The Aurora Fire Department responded to the accident shortly before 6:30 p.m. The injured male was alert when he was airlifted to the hospital, said an Aurora Fire Department official. Responders remained at the scene well into the night, helping to clear the area and make the scene safe.
The accident occurred at a crossing on South Main Street, near the intersection with Central Avenue in downtown Aurora.
