Man injured after crashing snowmobile near Cook

A River Falls, Wis., man was injured on Saturday when the snowmobile he was operating crashed into a tree on the Bearskin Trail about
15 miles southwest of Cook.
Deng Chen, 22, was traveling east about 1 p.m. when he lost control of his sled on a curve and struck a tree, according to a report from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
He was transported by ambulance to the Cook Hospital; his injuries were characterized as non-life-threatening.
