Man drowns in western Minnesota lake

 BEMIDJI -- A 78-year-old man died in a suspected drowning Thursday night on LaSalle Lake in northern Hubbard County.Shortly after 9 p.m., the Lakes Area Dive Team recovered the body of Francis Peasly, 78, of Elizabeth, Minn., who was pronounced dead at the scene according to the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office received a report of a potential drowning on LaSalle Lake at 7 p.m.. When authorities arrived at the public access, they met with several people who said a swimmer in their group went under water about 20 feet past the dock and did not resurface.Authorities and a volunteer searched the area with boats and located a body with an underwater camera in 20 feet of water.The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy.Lake LaSalle is about 35 miles southwest of Bemidji.
