Man arrested after Friday morning hit-and-run in Duluth
The police are still searching for another driver who was involved.
Police arrested one man and are searching for another person who were allegedly involved in a hit-and-run incident near downtown Duluth on Friday morning.
The Duluth Police Department responded to a hit-and-run shortly after 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of North Second Avenue East and East Third Street, according to an email from Duluth police.
A witness followed the vehicle suspected to be involved in the incident.
The vehicle collided with more than one vehicle on North First Avenue West below West Fourth Street, where it came to a stop and the driver then fled on foot.
The police are still searching for this driver.
After the driver fled, a passenger in the car allegedly drove the car and collided with more vehicles on North First Avenue West.
The 21-year-old male driver was found and arrested. He is being held on driving while impaired and hit-and-run charges.
The News Tribune generally doesn't name suspects until they are formally charged.
