A man who was reportedly abducted from his Superior home has been located and taken into custody, authorities said.

The Superior Police Department reported that 35-year-old Charles E. Day was found at a residence in Duluth on Wednesday afternoon, a day after authorities put out a request for public assistance in his reported abduction from Homecroft Court in Superior around 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Assistant Chief Matt Markon said Day was booked into the St. Louis County Jail on an outstanding warrant from Washburn County and is awaiting extradition. Duluth police assisted in taking him into custody.

No arrests have been announced in the case, and police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.

Anyone who has information about the case or may have seen a suspicious car in the Homecroft Court area is asked to call the police department at (715) 395-7468 or 911, send a message through Facebook or submit an anonymous tip to 847411 with keyword SPDTIP.
