Mentor Duluth would like to announce mentor Mickey Coughlin and mentee Dustin as recipients of the 11th annual Albert and Louise Ordean "Making a Difference" award. This award is given to a Mentor Duluth match that goes above and beyond the expectations of the program.
Award recipients Mickey and Dustin have been matched in Mentor Duluth through the Valley Youth Center for over four years. Throughout their time matched they have developed a solid friendship that will last for many years to come. They enjoy working out at the YMCA, eating dinner together and participating in Mentor Duluth activities. Mickey and Dustin are regulars at the YMCA; they having been working out twice a week together for more than two years. Mickey said that "working out was a great way to break the ice."
The Mentor Duluth program is committed to 1,000 youth in Duluth and surrounding communities by connecting them with positive adults who want to make a difference.
