Southbound London Road will be closed Monday between 40th Avenue East and 21st Avenue East from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while crews install pavement as part of the Duluth Interstate 35 mega project. Traffic will be detoured onto Superior Street, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The closure and detour will happen again Thursday during the same time period.
The pavement installation is part of the reconfiguration of the I-35 northbound exit on to London Road at 26th Avenue East. The remodeled intersection will result in a sharper turn onto London Road to reduce traffic speed and improve safety.
