DULUTH — A man is in St. Louis County jail after allegedly robbing a DoorDash driver Monday night.

According to Duluth Police Department staff, the driver was returning to his car on the 1000 block of East Third Street around 9 p.m. Monday when a man holding a gun approached the driver and demanded the driver’s wallet and keys. The driver handed both over, and police later found his stolen car near the Gateway Tower apartment complex near the intersection of Mesaba Avenue and West Superior Street.

Officers claim they arrested the man without incident, and that they found a loaded pistol and the driver’s wallet among the man’s possessions. The driver was uninjured in the encounter, police said.
