DULUTH โ€” After several recent storms, the city of Duluth will take to the downtown and Lincoln Park business districts this week to remove the accumulated snow that can pose challenges for motorists and pedestrians.

Crews will work to clear snowbanks from Superior Street between Sixth Avenue West and Third Avenue East on Wednesday. If time allows, they will then move up to First Street and work from Third Avenue East toward Mesaba Avenue.

On Thursday, the work will shift to Lincoln Park, focusing on Superior Street from 22nd Avenue West to its merger with Michigan Street in the Point of Rocks area.

No-parking signs will posted for the affected areas between 2 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the day of the removal. Any vehicles left on the streets may be ticketed and towed.
