Side Lake Liquor store total loss after fire

FRENCH TOWNSHIP — Side Lake Liquor store at 7480 County Highway 5 is a total loss after fire crews responded to a structure fire at 7:05 a.m. Saturday.

The cause of the fire is unknown, according to a news release from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office. The release did not state whether anyone was injured.

The fire is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

French, Bearville, Evergreen, Chisholm and Hibbing fire departments responded to the scene.
