DULUTH — A 14-year-old boy is lodged in the Arrowhead Juvenile Center awaiting second-degree murder charges from the St. Louis County Attorney's Office after he is alleged to have killed a 19-year-old family member, authorities said.
Officers responded to an assault call against a man around 6:42 p.m. Friday on the 1700 block of East Superior Street where officers determined after speaking to the man there wasn't an assault, the Duluth Police Department said in a news release Saturday.
Later, officers responded to the same address on a medical call. A 19-year-old woman was found unresponsive with injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. After execution of a search warrant, a 14-year-old boy, who was related to the girl, was arrested.
