- The Minnesota Supreme Court yesterday decided not to expedite the Duluth School Board's appeal of a District Court ruling preventing the board from closing Morgan Park High School. The ruling means that the high school will remain open this fall.
- The Duluth City Council next week will consider a resolution requiring contractors working on city-financed projects to employ a workforce consisting of at least 75% Duluth residents. The new rule would apply only to projects that exceed $10,000.

- Guests in Duluth's Holland Hotel were told to leave their rooms early this morning when a leak of ammonia gas from the refrigerating plant was discovered. Workmen wearing gas masks found the source of the gas fumes and repaired the leak within a half hour.
- Articles of incorporation for the Accessories Manufacturing Company, a new Duluth corporation, were sent to St. Paul yesterday. The company has patented a new liquid cement which it proposes to place on the market through the Marshall-Wells Company.
