SUPERIOR — President Joe Biden will discuss the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law during a speech at the University of Wisconsin-Superior at approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The president and first lady, Jill Biden, will arrive Wednesday at Duluth International Airport, The White House confirmed in a press release Monday afternoon. The president's visit to Superior was announced Thursday.

During his visit to UW-Superior's Yellowjacket Union, Biden will discuss how the law "delivers for the American people by rebuilding roads and bridges and creating good-paying, union jobs," a news release said Monday.

The event is invitation only, according to an email sent Monday from UW-Superior Chancellor Renée Wachter to students, staff and faculty. It will be livestreamed at .

Biden is scheduled to deliver his first State of the Union address at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
