It's a Saturday night in Fargo, North Dakota. Its two days after Thanksgiving, and the Christmas season has just begun. And what better way to kick off the holiday season than with a Blenders concert.
The Blenders is a group featuring the talents of two brothers from Crookston, a talented man from Moorhead, and an equally impressive Fargo native.
They first got started in 1990, and nearing their 20th anniversary together, these four guys can really entertain a crowd.
The Blenders started out their concert with a bang, playing song likes "Deck the Halls", and "Oh Come All Ye Faithful". They really changed things up with their a cappella Christmas carols, that really brought out their natural talent.
The group is like a boy band, but a little blended. Their choreography was a little cheesy. But compared to their powerful voices the choreography didn't really matter.

As tie-ins to their next songs the men joked around a little bit. They made jokes of the some of the "American Idols", and even of each other.
One of the highlights of their show for me was them performing "Lean On Me". Another song I liked was "There Must Be a Lady in This World for Me", which was their version of barbershop quartet tune. The tune talks about the troubles of being in a quartet.
After the fifteen minute intermission was over, they started the show up again with "I'll Be There". One highlight of the second half of the show was an a cappella version of "Silent Night". Their versions of "Love Train", "Joy to the World", and "Wrapped Up" were also amazing.
Equally highlighting the talents of all four guys, the Blenders had great stage presence and voices to match.
I only went to the concert because my family made me and I wasn't really happy about it. I was wrong though, one song into the concert my whole perspective changed. These four guys, an unlikely group of talented singers, blew me away.
I wouldn't have any complaints about the show other than the fact the intermission should have been shorter. I haven't been liquefied or pureed. I've been blended.
