Another snowfall has come and gone with little to show on the ground.

The National Weather Service in Duluth reported just a few 10ths of an inch of snow had fallen by 4 p.m. and only an inch or less was expected by the time snowfall stopped this evening.

The fine snowfall caused some roads to turn slippery. Duluth police reported few accidents, although the Minnesota State Patrol was kept busy with several minor accidents along Interstate 35. No serious injuries were immediately reported.

The next chance for snow, and its only a slight chance, is Tuesday, forecasters said. Duluth has received less than 21 inches of snow so far this winter, more than two feet less than average for this date. Duluth, with just over four inches of snow on the ground officially at the airport and much less downtown, has had such little snow cover in mid-January only five years out of 100.
