Effective Monday, Sept. 29, a new nighttime closure schedule will take effect for the Aerial Lift Bridge rehabilitation project.
This schedule will continue for parts of three weeks, from Sept. 29 through Oct. 3, Oct. 6 through 10, and Oct. 13 through 17.
The bridge will be placed in the up position from 1 to 6 a.m. on weekdays during the closure periods.
The bridge will be opened to vehicular traffic on the hour (2 a.m., 3 a.m., 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.,) to clear any waiting traffic.
These closures will allow for surface finishing of the counterweights and structural steel repairs to be completed on the bridge.

This work will also result in intermittent single-lane vehicle traffic over the bridge.
Stop signal lights will be utilized at each end of the bridge to facilitate one-way traffic.
