The Hibbing Police Department will host a community notification meeting this month for a Level 3 predatory offender who will live in the city.
Thomas Kenneth Galatz, 73, has a history of sexual contact with girls between ages 8 and 15. He was known to his victims. According to the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Galatz has been incarcerated since late 1997. He is scheduled to be released from the Minnesota Correctional Facility at Moose Lake on Oct. 17 and move to the 1200 block of 11th Street East in Hibbing.
Galatz is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 278 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
The community notification meeting begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 12 in the Little Theater of the Memorial Building.
