Ryan Myhre threw a four-hit shutout as the Superior Lakers claimed a 5-0 win over the Duluth Padres on Sunday at Bulldog Park.

The Lakers completed their Upper 13 League season with a 14-0 record.

Myhre retired the first 13 batters he faced, had 10 strikeouts and issued two walks.

Kyle Peterson and Chris Musser had two hits each, and Orry Engebretsen had three stolen bases for Superior.

Losing pitcher Anthony Bush gave up two earned runs in seven innings. He allowed six hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Bob Eastman had two hits for Duluth.

Duluth finished the Upper 13 League schedule with a 5-9 record.

The Padres have two nonleague games remaining. They travel to Cloquet's Ed Mettner Memorial Field on Wednesday to play the Duluth Xpress at 6 p.m., and will host the Hibbing Miners on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Bulldog Park.

Superior is idle until the Wisconsin Baseball Association playoffs. The first round will be played at four sites on Aug. 12-14. The WBA State Tournament will be at Coon Valley, Wis., on Aug. 19-21.
