Lake Country Power is seeking nominations of individuals, groups, associations, or businesses, for its Touchstone Energy Community Award.
The award is given for strong commitment to the community.
In December, the award winner is announced with a $250 cash prize to be donated to a community service project of choice.
The winner then contends for the statewide Touchstone Energy Community Award, with a $1,000 cash prize. The statewide winner will be recognized at a February 2008 Minnesota Rural Electric Association annual meeting.

Lake Country Power distributes electricity to more than 41,000 members in eight northeastern Minnesota counties. The cooperative has offices in Grand Rapids, Kettle River, and Virginia.
