Diane Kruger of Superior and John Rookey of Lakeland, Fla., were married June 30, 2007, in Zion Lutheran Church in Superior.
Her parents are the late Peter and Charlotte Raye. His parents are the late Robert and Vera Rookey.
The bride chose Rosemarie Birch as matron of honor. The groom chose the Rev. David Froemming as best man. Attendants to the bride and groom were Sean, Corey and Kyle Rookey; Jessica, Noah and Alex Kruger; and Kylie and Michaela Kruger. Madison Kruger was flower girl, and Mason Sammarco was ring bearer.
The bride, a graduate of the former Central High School in Superior, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a master's degree in music and elementary education. She is a retired teacher from the Duluth public schools.
The groom, a graduate of Cathedral High School in Superior, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a master's degree in music. He is a retired music teacher from Hartford (Wis.) Common School.
