Shelly Kastern and Derek Wicklund, both of Green Bay, plan to be married Oct. 4 in St. Francis Xavier Church in Superior.
Her parents are Jerry and Theresa Kastern of Superior. His parents are Jim and Sandy Wicklund of Iron River, Mich., and Don and Donna Sofia of Sheboygan, Wis.
The future bride, a 2000 graduate of Superior Senior High School, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She is a police officer for the Green Bay Police Department.
The future groom, a 1995 graduate of West Iron County High School in Iron River, graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He is a police officer for the Green Bay Police Department.
