Tickets go on sale Saturday for folk music legend Joan Baez, who will play the DECC Auditorium on Sunday, Oct. 29. The singer-song writer has recorded more than 40 albums in a career that spans the past four decades and has earned seven gold records.

The singer-song writer has recorded more than 40 albums in a career that spans the past four decades and has earned seven gold records. She has also been well known as a human rights and peace activist.
Her 1992, "Play Me Backwards" album was nominated for the Best Contemporary Folk Recording Grammy. Her most recent studio album, "Gone From Danger," was released in September 1997.
Her Duluth appearance with special guest Stacey Earle is part of a United States tour that starts in early October in Lincoln, Neb., and finishes in California in mid-November.
