Jerry and Carol Avery of Duluth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in March with a trip to Florida.
Jerry and the former Carol Sellwood were married June 2, 1958, in St. Peter's Catholic Church in Duluth.
Their children are Rick and Chris Avery, Lonnie and Susan Avery and Randy Avery, all of Duluth, and Lisa and Fred Youngstrand of South Range. They have eight grandchildren.
Jerry is a retired longshoreman and is also retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. Carol is retired from Fond-du-Luth Casino.
