Former Duluth Central standout Carissa Nord scored a game-high 26 points as visiting Wisconsin-Superior edged St. Scholastica 75-68 in overtime in a nonconference women's basketball game Monday night before 113 at the Reif Center.
Nord made 7 of 10 3-pointers for UWS (6-7).
St. Scholastica (4-8) rallied from a six-point deficit late in regulation to tie the game, thanks to a pair of free throws from junior Whitney Latham. Superior guard Beth Haworth nearly ended it in regulation, but her3-point attempt with three seconds remaining spun around the rim but fell out. It was all UWS in overtime as the Saints missed all nine of their field-goal attempts.
