The Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board on Friday approved a $2 million capital investment in the expansion of the DeCare Dental facility in Gilbert, a move company officials say will create 120 new full-time jobs.
DeCare, one of the nation's largest dental benefit management companies, provides customer service, claims service, sales support and other services for insurance companies. It currently employs 158 people in Gilbert. The IRRRB investment, as reported in the News Tribune on Wednesday, will go toward a 10,260-square-foot expansion of the company's building. DeCare leases that building from the IRRRB.
Friday's meeting was held in St. Paul, in part to accommodate board members who had to be at the State Capitol for the end of the legislative session.
