International Falls will set an obscure record for warmth on Wednesday when the city hits 189 consecutive days with temperatures at least 45 degrees or warmer.
Monday marked the 187th day with a temperature at 45 or above. You have to go way back to April 7 to recall a high that's below 45 (just 41 degrees that day). The record will break the old streak of 188 days set in 1911.
The obscure weather trivia is brought to you by the National Weather Service in Duluth which, by the way, is forecasting high temperatures in the Falls in the 50s and 60s for the rest of the week.
