The record low of 22 degrees for May 12 was first set in 1996.

Other low temperatures from around the Northland on Sunday morning included:

  • 21 degrees -- Pine River
  • 23 degrees -- Hibbing, Crane Lake, Wright, Kabetogama
  • 25 degrees -- Orr, Cook, Bigfork
  • 26 degrees -- Eveleth, Embarrass
  • 27 degrees -- Grand Rapids
  • 28 degrees -- Duluth airport, Aitkin, Cloquet, Superior
  • 29 degrees -- Babbitt, Butternut, Solon Springs
  • 30 degrees -- Two Harbors, Silver Bay, Ely, Moose Lake, Finland
  • 34 degrees -- Duluth harbor The record low for Duluth for May 12 is 24 degrees, set in 1946.

    A big warm-up is on the way for this week, with high temperatures in the 80s possible away from Lake Superior on Tuesday. The Twin Cities may see highs in the 90s on Tuesday.
