Jim Caesar has been hired as interim executive director of the Development Association Inc. of Superior/Douglas County.
In his new position, Caesar will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization. Besides working with members, he'll work with other regional economic development organizations to retain businesses and on expansion opportunities.
Caesar's business background is in the private sector. He most recently was director of sales and marketing for Lifespan Closets. For 12 years, he was general manager for Sam's Club in Hermantown and was director of operations for 10 Sam's Clubs in Iowa and Illinois. He also was a vice president for Wells Fargo Bank in Duluth for three years and a past board chairman of the Duluth Chamber or Commerce.
