Input sought on designs for new skate park

Duluth Parks and Recreation has announced that area skate boarders, BMX bikers and inline skaters have an opportunity to view online two proposed designs for Duluth's new skate park and provide input on these designs.

Duluth Parks and Recreation has announced that area skate boarders, BMX bikers and inline skaters have an opportunity to view online two proposed designs for Duluth's new skate park and provide input on these designs.

Site Design Group, the company that is designing the skate park, has put these designs on its Web site along with the ability for users to add comments online.

To access this Web site, go to http://www.sitedesigngroup.com . Click onto Duluth Skate Park. Users will be asked to provide a username: duluth, and a password: snobound.

Copies of the two designs are also available at all community recreation centers and the Parks and Recreation office. The deadline to submit comments is July 6.

The final draft of the skate park plan will be presented to the Mayor's Skate Board Park Task Force at its July 16 meeting at 4 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation office, 12 E. Fourth St. For more information, call 723-3337.
