A 64-year-old Wilmington, Illinois, man is in critical condition after he lost control of an ATV and crashed on Vermilion Falls Road in Crane Lake on Monday.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department, passersby found Gregory Dennis lying in the road and "severely injured" just before 5 p.m. Monday.
It appeared he lost control of the ATV while rounding a corner, causing the ATV to roll and eject him, the Sheriff's Office said.
Dennis was transported by Orr Ambulance to a landing zone then flown by North Memorial Air Medical to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in serious condition.
Dennis was listed in critical condition Tuesday morning.
