Borders, 26, holds many "firsts" for professional baseball. During the 1997 season, she became the first woman ever to pitch in a regular season professional game and become the first woman to earn a victory in a professional baseball game a year later. As a Duke, Border earned a record of 1-4 with 21 strikeouts in three seasons with the team.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 the day of the event and can be purchased at the Dukes office in the Holiday Center, 207 W. Superior St., or by calling 727-4525.
