If you live or work in the Hillside your voice and thoughts are needed on Tuesday.

A neighborhood forum to gather ideas from Hillsiders is scheduled for 6 p.m., in the classroom at One Roof Community Housing, located at 12 East Fourth Street.

All are invited to attend.

The purpose of this initial meeting is to identify the focus area and components of the planning and implementation processes, as well as to get some initial thoughts and feedback regarding this revitalization effort.

The At Home In Duluth Collaborative, made up in part by One Roof Community Housing and Duluth LISC, strives to open a discussion to all Duluthians who work and live in the Hillside to make it a better place to live, play and do business, in particular the health area district around Essentia Health.

"Essentia Health is an economic and employment anchor of the Hillside, and a significant partner in this endeavor," said Sarah Kilgour, neighborhood revitalization associate at One Roof Community Housing.

This process is a follow-up to the Higher Education Area Plan that was completed by the City of Duluth a few years ago. The Health Area Revitalization plan will include planning and investment in and around the area's housing stock, blighted and underutilized properties, Sixth Avenue East land use and design, economic development, and community safety, to name a few topics.

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m.
