Hunting shack near Aurora destroyed in Friday blaze

A hunting shack was destroyed in a fire on Friday afternoon near Aurora.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office said the fire at 3487 Town Line Road in Bassett Township was reported at 3:55 p.m. A caller said the building was engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported.
Officers found the occupant, Danny Rasmusson of Aurora, who had been hunting at the time of the fire. The building was a total loss, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Lt. Edward Kippley of the Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle and an ATV parked in the driveway were moved in time to avoid any damage to them.
The cause of the fire was being investigated Friday.
