'How to Ride the DTA' topic of four-week course

The Center for Independent Living of Northeastern Minnesota (CILNM), in cooperation with the Duluth Transit Authority, will be presenting four-week courses on "How to Ride the DTA" on a monthly basis, beginning in March.

The Center for Independent Living of Northeastern Minnesota (CILNM), in cooperation with the Duluth Transit Authority, will be presenting four-week courses on "How to Ride the DTA" on a monthly basis, beginning in March.
CILNM will offer this training, free of charge, to persons with disabilities beginning on March 7, 2002. The eight-hour DTA travel training course consists of four two-hour sessions, which will be held on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon in Conference Room A of the Ordean Building, 425 West Superior Street. CILNM will offer the 8-hour course every month throughout the year.
CILNM will teach the basic skills necessary for getting around the Twin Ports on public transportation. CILNM teaches reading a bus schedule, understanding common bus terminology, paying a fare, boarding a bus, getting off at your destination, safety tips and transferring to connecting buses.
