A home in McDavitt Township was engulfed in flames Wednesday afternoon. The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a structure fire at 9045 Bawden Road at 2:01 p.m., according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire and has been contacted. Both the home and an outbuilding were engulfed. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
McDavitt, Clinton, Toivola, Cherry, Cotton, Meadowlands, Kelsey and Eveleth fire departments assisted in extinguishing the fire.
