A homeowner has been displaced following a kitchen fire on Wednesday afternoon.
The Duluth Fire Department reported that it arrived at 217 S. 61st Ave. W. to find smoke at the roofline of the two-story house shortly after noon Wednesday. The homeowner was at home at the time of the fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished and firefighters remained on scene for about two hours, according to the Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Fire Department estimates damage at $35,000
