Several Duluth-area political candidates will be present Monday for a “reverse forum” with the focus on poverty.
The second annual “Local Solutions to Poverty” candidates forum will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. at Trepanier Hall, 202 W. Second St., according to a news release from CHUM and the Citizens Federation of Duluth, two of the sponsoring organizations. It will be followed by an open discussion from 7:30-8 p.m.
Speakers who have experienced poverty and homelessness will share their stories and ask questions of the candidates, the news release said.
Candidates who have confirmed attendance are: St. Louis County Board 1st District - Frank Jewell, Jim Booth; House District 7A - Jennifer Schultz, Becky Hall, Kriss Osbakken; House District 7B - Erik Simonson.
