Drivers heading up the North Shore past Grand Marais should expect some delays starting Tuesday as a bridge replacement begins on Minnesota Highway 61 at the Devil Track River.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation reports that the $2.5 million project, about 4 miles northeast of Grand Marais, is scheduled to begin today and be completed in late October.
The highway will be reduced to single-lane traffic, one direction at a time, controlled by signals or a flagger.
