U.S. Steel appointed Scott Coleman of Hibbing as general manager of Minnesota Ore Operations on Wednesday.
Coleman, 40, will oversee the mines and pelletizing operations at Minntac in Mountain Iron and Keetac in Keewatin.
Coleman was most recently a manager at U.S. Steel's plant in Keewatin.
Coleman succeeds Dennis Quirk, who has been named manager at a plant in Philadelphia.
