A 46-year-old Hibbing man was injured in a motorcycle accident six miles east of Togo in Itasca County Saturday afternoon.
Michael J. Nowak was driving east on Highway 1 at 2:44 p.m., when he lost control of his motorcycle on a tight turn, laid down his bike and slid into the road's north ditch, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol. He was transported to SMDC Medical Center in Duluth, where he was treated and released. He was not wearing a helmet.
