To celebrate the community's history of farming, Hermantown's second Harvest Fest will be held Saturday, with vendors, artisans, musicians and vintage tractors all part of the mix.
It will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the community building and history center at 5255 Maple Grove Rd.
Children's activities include hay rides and a petting zoo, and Duane Benoit will demonstrate a model railroad. Music includes an accordion, a strolling minstrel and bluegrass performers. Artisans will show blacksmithing,
butter-churning, yarn-spinning, candle-dipping, basket-weaving and rosemaling. Food vendors include those from farmer's markets.
Cost: $2 for adults, $1 for children and $5 for families. Children younger than 5 are free. Call (218) 624-3040 for details.
